The Market comes to town every Thursday and sells a wonderful mixture of products

Hire A Boat

A memorable day can be spent on board a local boat - captained by an experienced crew. Visiting deserted beaches is a wonderful experience and the swimming, snorkelling, eating, and sleeping is heaven

To one of Kalkan's beach clubs where you can snorkel in crystal clear-water water off the rocks.

Kalkan is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+2)

Passport and Visa

Visitors to Turkey must have a 10 year (5 year for children) passport – valid for 6 months after your return date. This is strictly regulated. Passport and Visa
British Passport holders will be asked to purchase a visa on their entry to Turkey . All visitors to Turkey must take a crisp (not crumpled or torn) Bank of England £10 note with them to present to customs on arrival. Change will not be available and this charge includes all children. nb Scottish, Irish or Isle of Mann notes will not be accepted.

Paying locally

A mixture of travellers cheques , sterling cash, some Turkish Lira and credit cards will give you the most flexibility in Turkey. Many of the hotels and some businesses do not accept credit cards due to the high bank and taxation charges. Automatic tellers are now widely available but should not solely be relied upon.

Health advice

No compulsory vaccinations or medications are compulsory to enter Turkey. Sun cream and insect repellent are recommended.

Welcome hamper

When you arrive it will be good to sit down and have a refreshing cup of tea and a snack to keep yourselves going until you can collect some groceries for yourself.

There are grocery stalls very close to “June uni evi” and supermarkets are available in the “new town”

Breakages

It is requested that any breakages or damage will be reported to me and the monies paid to replace or repair such damage. Please remember that “June un' Evi” is our home and will only be let occasionally. I urge you to treat the apartment and the neighbours with the respect that they both deserve.

Old Town Apartment

The apartment is large, has high ceilings, is well equipped (including a safe for your valuables) and is tastefully furnished. Please bear in mind that this is a town apartment - situated in a sought after area of “The Old Town of Kalkan” and in the evenings some laughter and music may be heard from the master bedroom.
